A WARM WELCOME:

This is a light and airy 3 bedroom/2 bathroom bungalow situated in a secluded mature garden of woodland at “de Bieselt” in the historical village of Mook approx 8 kilometers outside Nijmegen and a 10 minute drive from the Dutch/German border.

The house was built around 1970. The comfortable L shaped living/dining room is attractively furnished and is equipped with satellite television as well as WIFI internet connection for guests who wish to bring their laptops. There is a wood burning fire and a library with a good selection of books ( Dutch and English). A picture window covering the entire length of the sitting room offers stunning views overlooking a terrace and onto the garden. A canopy can be lowered electronically for shade if desired. There is another patio at the back of the house which provides ideal space for you to relax or enjoy alfresco dining surrounded by the natural beauty of the county of Limburg in the South of Holland. Don’t be surprised to be visited by natural wildlife such as red squirrels and deer as well as at least 26 species of birds.

The master Bedroom benefits from an en suite bathroom with shower. A separate corridor leads off the sitting room where two further bedrooms (one double and one single) are situated as well as the second bathroom with shower.

The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern amenities.

AREA INFORMATION

With the exuberant nature and the diversity of attractions surrounding it, the house is a great base for making day trips. You can explore the beautiful Mookerheide (translated Mookerheaths) on foot and it is wonderful to cycle or walk along the numerous cycle and walking routes mapped out for you through heaths, forests and hills all nearby as well as the river Maas and a huge lake at Plasmolen which provides a haven for boating sports. Nearest golf course is at Groesbeek (within 3 km).

And not to be missed is the oldest city of the Netherlands, Nijmegen. Admire its beautiful historical centre, modern shopping malls and a wealth of museums and galleries. (for instance the National Liberation Museum 1944—1945, Museumpark Orientalis, Museum Het Valkhof, Afrika Museum just to name a few). There are festivals and music events to keep you entertained all year round.

By car from the A73 take exit 3 in direction Groesbeek/Mook. Follow the N271 till the rotary intersection. At the rotary intersection you turn left in direction Groesbeek. After 1.5 km turn right into Bracamonte weg, then 3rd right into Papenbergse weg and then take the first right, follow this road to the end.

By train nearest main railway station is Nijmegen. 01 May 2009 a train station opened in Mook with a good regular service.
Nearest airports are Weeze in Germany and Eindhoven in Holland.

There is a feature fireplace, dining area for 4, sofa and armchair The furnishings and decorations are good quality, traditional design and the room has high ceiling, with original cove cornicing. The bedroom is tastefully furnished, again with period design and has a zip and link bed which can be used as either a king sized bed or split to make 2 single beds. This flat is in a wonderful location, being in heart of Belgravia. It is set in a gated courtyard, so feels very secure and quiet. The local pub and a little mini-market are just a couple of minutes walk away.

The flat is on the ground floor, and the front door opens straight into the large, comfortable living room. There are two sofas, and a large glass dining table seating four. Sliding patio doors lead out to a small enclosed light-well, approximate 8 square.

The kitchen is quite small, but very well equipped with washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, etc.

Off the living room is the hallway which has excellent cupboard and hanging space.

The bedroom is comfortable with a queen-size (5) bed, chest of drawers, and lights over the bed.

The bathroom is a good size with shower over bath.

Onslow Square is the Eaton Square of South Kensington. Our flat is on the west side of the square, a 3 minute walk to the shops, restaurants, underground and museums. It is on the ground floor looking towards the gardens and has lovely high ceilings, the original pretty cornicing and beige carpeting throughout.

Enter the flat into a wide deep pink wallpapered hallway – to the right is a large elegant drawing room with mantle piece and working gas fire. Either side are round tables covered with cloths hiding a TV, video and hi-fi system. The traditional sofas and chairs are green and red chintz, and a large rectangular antique occasional table seats 6.

Opposite, is the modern kitchen, with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas hob, electric oven and grill; microwave and small round table for 3.

Next to the drawing room is a big master bedroom with a 6’ zip and link double bed, masses of wardrobe space, a TV and sofa at the foot of the bed. The walls are padded with a blue and white patterned fabric. The en suite bathroom has a loo, basin, a bath with a hand held shower, and also a shower cubicle with a power shower.

At the end of the corridor is a twin bedroom in yellow and green – its bathroom is next door and has a power shower over the bath, a loo and basin.

The whole flat portrays a gracious life style and is decorated to the highest standard.

The maid comes on Fridays for 3 hours.

Redburn Street is situated off Flood Street leading up to Kings Road, and our flat is located in one of the Victorian houses that line the street.

Up a couple of steps to the main door of the house, and the front door to the flat is on the right. Enter a small hallway that leads into an elegant drawing room. This room is traditionally furnished with an oval mahogany table seating four in the bay window, and a sofa, antique chest and desk. There is a TV, VCR, CD player and fax.

The small bedroom has a queen bed with a pretty headboard matching the blue and white willow pattern wallpaper. Antique chest of drawers and bedside tables complete the room. Small built in closets.

The pristine bathroom has a shower over the tub.

Next to the bathroom is the kitchen, which is nice and light. There is a washer/dryer, gas cooker and electric oven, and a small fridge/freezer.

Owned by an interior designer, this is a very attractively furnished and decorated flat the whole flat is light and bright. It is very quietly situated, but within easy walking distance to the Kings Road and all the shops and restaurants.

Gordon Place is a most attractive residential street; a haven of leafy seclusion just yards away from the noise and bustle of Kensington High and Kensington Church Streets. Kensington High Street is just a two-minute walk and can be reached by walking down a quaint, narrow pedestrian walkway with some fascinating, tiny shops. The High Street has department stores, Marks & Spencer plus a choice of every other imaginable shopping and the tube station. Kensington Church Street is more inclined to expensive patisseries, interior design and antiques and is also just a two-minute walk from this flat. Finally, the side entrance to Kensington Gardens is a mere four-minute walk from the flat so this does have an ideal location.

A short flight of steps from the street up to the front door of the main house leads into a large public entrance hall. The front door to our flat is on the ground floor level so we describe this flat as &lquo;raised ground floor&rquo;.

On entering the flat the small hallway leads straight into a good sized, light living room with large windows looking out over the street. It is comfortably and most attractively furnished with deep sofa and armchairs, colour television, video and stereo centre. There is a dining table and six chairs. The kitchen is attractively tiled and well equipped with washer/dryer dishwasher and microwave.

The pretty bedroom has a queen size bed and has a plentiful supply of hanging cupboards and shelves and the modern tiled bathroom has a full size tub with overhead power shower. The whole flat is in immaculate decorative condition and is highly recommended.

Some noise can be heard from the nearby underground.
