A WARM WELCOME:
This is a light and airy 3 bedroom/2 bathroom bungalow situated in a secluded mature garden of woodland at “de Bieselt” in the historical village of Mook approx 8 kilometers outside Nijmegen and a 10 minute drive from the Dutch/German border.
The house was built around 1970. The comfortable L shaped living/dining room is attractively furnished and is equipped with satellite television as well as WIFI internet connection for guests who wish to bring their laptops. There is a wood burning fire and a library with a good selection of books ( Dutch and English). A picture window covering the entire length of the sitting room offers stunning views overlooking a terrace and onto the garden. A canopy can be lowered electronically for shade if desired. There is another patio at the back of the house which provides ideal space for you to relax or enjoy alfresco dining surrounded by the natural beauty of the county of Limburg in the South of Holland. Don’t be surprised to be visited by natural wildlife such as red squirrels and deer as well as at least 26 species of birds.
The master Bedroom benefits from an en suite bathroom with shower. A separate corridor leads off the sitting room where two further bedrooms (one double and one single) are situated as well as the second bathroom with shower.
The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern amenities.
AREA INFORMATION
With the exuberant nature and the diversity of attractions surrounding it, the house is a great base for making day trips. You can explore the beautiful Mookerheide (translated Mookerheaths) on foot and it is wonderful to cycle or walk along the numerous cycle and walking routes mapped out for you through heaths, forests and hills all nearby as well as the river Maas and a huge lake at Plasmolen which provides a haven for boating sports. Nearest golf course is at Groesbeek (within 3 km).
And not to be missed is the oldest city of the Netherlands, Nijmegen. Admire its beautiful historical centre, modern shopping malls and a wealth of museums and galleries. (for instance the National Liberation Museum 1944—1945, Museumpark Orientalis, Museum Het Valkhof, Afrika Museum just to name a few). There are festivals and music events to keep you entertained all year round.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
By car from the A73 take exit 3 in direction Groesbeek/Mook. Follow the N271 till the rotary intersection. At the rotary intersection you turn left in direction Groesbeek. After 1.5 km turn right into Bracamonte weg, then 3rd right into Papenbergse weg and then take the first right, follow this road to the end.
By train nearest main railway station is Nijmegen. 01 May 2009 a train station opened in Mook with a good regular service.
Nearest airports are Weeze in Germany and Eindhoven in Holland.
